PEFC
(Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification)
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Scheme is an international forest industry initiative that acts as an umbrella for many smaller national forestry schemes.
- The PEFC is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainable managed forests through independent third party certification.
- The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.
PEFC papers are currently available and there are a large number of managed hectares that comply with PEFC. APG can advise on PEFC papers and ensure the certification of the printed product.
